Hi Wells, this is so well written. While I’ve been a design manager for years and everything you describe is true for me today — possibly more so than when I first started. It is a good position to be in, allows you to see the lay of the land and challenge yourself to turn team frustrations into opportunities, communicate empathy across teams and be exposed to new challenges on the daily.
