Voice of product is a powerful thing, and as you mention, it helps when the design is spot on. Things like changing the UI color might seem like a minor feature, but I’ve seen large groups excited about it. Trying to change the colors to match their personality–like their desktop background. That type of personal care in a product really makes it a hit, however small the feature might seem.
